Are GSS technicians factory trained?

All of our manufactures provide in-depth, comprehensive training for our service support and staff development department.  Then these trained technicians/instructors provide the training to our local technicians and serve as backup support for the local technician.  We receive from the manufactures, and distribute to our local technicians, all current technical updates and documentation about all makes and models sold by GSS.  In addition, we distribute tips on how to repair units developed by our technicians nationwide.

If I am buying "state-of-the-art" equipment, why should I have a maintenance agreement?

Today's electronic equipment is more reliable than that manufactured a few years back.   This reliability results, in part, from the use of a very complex integrated circuitry.  This circuitry needs better controlled "environment" (temperature, voltage, static control) than most offices or work places provide.  So, even though the equipment has greater reliability, degrading factors of the environment still cause failures.

Isn't it less expensive to have equipment repaired on a time and materials basis than to have a maintenance agreement?

The cost of repair is relative to the critical need for the equipment.  In raw dollars it sometimes is less expensive to have the unit repaired on a billable basis as needed:  However, there are other less obvious costs involved:
1.  Down time cost?

Maintenance agreement customers will get faster response and repair time.
2.  Degraded performance cost?
The problem isn't serious enough to call for service (it cost a lot for a service call), but it does slow up the operation.
3.  Lack of preventative maintenance can shorten the life of equipment.

How does a GSS service agreement work?

Simple!  You and GSS have an agreement that states for a period of 12 months your equipment is fully covered for all repairs.  Single source service means no matter what needs fixing, all parts and labor charges are covered.  the only fee you pay is the nominal contract payment agreed to at the start of the maintenance period.
